Technology, AI & Automation Manager

Didsbury, South Manchester | Hybrid – 3 days per week in office | 12-month FTC

We're looking for a Technology Solutions & Automation Manager to join Amoria Group on a 12-month fixed-term basis.

This is a slightly different technology management role. You'll oversee the day-to-day delivery of our IT function, supported by established IT Support and Security leads and our external MSP, but we're not looking for someone to spend all of their time managing BAU IT.

A significant part of the role will be hands-on: designing, building and implementing technology, automation and AI solutions that improve how the business operates.

We've invested significantly in our technology estate over recent years and are now increasing our focus on Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot, AI and automation. We have a growing pipeline of opportunities across the Group and need someone who can take a business problem or manual process, work out the right technical solution and then actually build and implement it.

What you'll be doing

You'll have responsibility across two main areas.

Technology leadership and operations

You'll oversee the effective day-to-day delivery of IT services across the Group, working closely with our IT Support Lead, IT Systems & Security Lead, MSP and wider technology suppliers.

You'll provide technical leadership and escalation where needed, oversee supplier performance and significant technology changes, and help ensure our technology environment remains stable, secure and aligned with business priorities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

AI, automation and technology solutions

Alongside this, you'll have a significant hands-on delivery remit.

You'll design and build solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps, as well as developing solutions using Copilot and Copilot Studio.

You'll work with teams across the business to understand processes and pain points, identify where technology can make a meaningful difference, and take solutions through design, build, testing and implementation.

That could include automating manual workflows, building Power Apps, connecting processes across Microsoft 365 and our wider systems, developing Copilot agents or helping us find better ways to use the technology we already have.

You'll work closely with our Business Transformation Lead, combining their focus on process improvement, change and adoption with your technical design and build capability.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who combines broad technology experience with strong hands-on Microsoft Power Platform capability.

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong hands-on Power Automate and Power Apps experience
  • Experience designing and implementing end-to-end automation solutions
  • Experience with Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot or wider AI technologies
  • Good Microsoft 365 knowledge, particularly SharePoint and Teams
  • The ability to translate business problems and processes into practical technical solutions
  • Experience overseeing IT operations, infrastructure or business systems
  • Experience working with MSPs and technology suppliers
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work with both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders
  • A pragmatic approach – able to work out when to build, when to automate and when a simpler solution is the better answer
  • Experience managing, mentoring and developing technology team members, with the ability to support performance, development and effective delivery

You don't need to be a specialist in every part of our technology estate. We have internal leads and external partners providing specialist support. What we do need is someone with enough breadth to provide effective technology leadership, combined with the technical capability and interest to get hands-on and deliver solutions.

Why join us?

There's a genuine opportunity to build and implement solutions that will be used across the business, influence how we use AI and automation, and help shape the next stage of our technology roadmap.

You'll have access to senior stakeholders across the Group, established internal technology resources and external partners, while still having the autonomy to design and deliver solutions yourself.

If you enjoy the combination of technology leadership, problem-solving and actually building things, we'd like to hear from you.
