Technology Analyst – Mobile Device Testing
Location: London, UK
Work Mode: Fully Onsite
Contract Duration: 6–12 Months
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Technology Analyst with strong hands-on experience in Android and iOS mobile device testing across different OEM smartphones and tablets. The ideal candidate should have expertise in device configuration, software build installation, test execution, defect identification, log collection, and troubleshooting. Exposure to telecom/network testing and mobile test automation will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on testing of Android and iOS smartphones and tablets across different OEM devices.
- Configure devices, install software builds, applications, APKs, and test packages.
- Execute test cases, follow defined test procedures, and accurately document results.
- Identify and validate issues related to application behaviour, UI responsiveness, crashes, battery consumption, thermal performance, and overall device stability.
- Collect device logs, analyse issues, and prepare clear defect reports for engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot device, software, and network-related issues.
- Support defect validation, retesting, and regression testing.
- Collaborate with engineering and testing teams to investigate and resolve issues.

Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Android and iOS mobile device testing.
- Experience testing smartphones and tablets across multiple OEM devices.
- Device setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Firmware flashing, custom ROMs, test builds, and APK installation.
- Test case execution, defect validation, and issue analysis.
- Device log collection and analysis.
- Network/device troubleshooting and effective defect reporting.

Good to Have Skills
- Networking or telecom testing experience.
- Knowledge of APN configuration.
- Band locking and NV changes.
- Network troubleshooting and log analysis.
- Network performance validation.
