Heights Libraries Technology Associate Position
Heights Libraries has an opening for a part-time Technology Associate in our Heights Knowledge and Innovation Center (HKIC) located at our Lee Road branch. The HKIC is home to a Multi-Media Lab, a STEAM/Maker Lab, and computers running both Windows and Mac OS. In this position, you will be assisting customers in person and over the phone with computer/technology-related questions; and assisting customers with scanners and other related office equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills required with the ability to interact effectively with all customer age groups.
- Must be patient and adaptable to working with customers of varying degrees of computer and office equipment skill and knowledge.
- Ability to provide customer support with technology and software applications.
- Must be comfortable working in an environment where you will be moving from task to task.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, bend, and push.
- Technology Associates will be expected to work a schedule of 20 hours per week including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Knowledge Requirements
- Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Windows and Mac operating systems
- Experience with multi-media equipment and software (preferred)

Salary
Starting salary is $18.20 per hour, but will consider commensurate knowledge, skills, and experience. Part-time is 20 hours per week; schedule covers mornings, afternoons, and evening shifts including weekends.
