Company Description
Capsule Insurance was founded in 2021 and is a specialist insurance provider focused on high-growth, venture-backed companies that are shaping the future of the UK Technology sector. As a B-Corp certified organisation guided by strong ESG principles, Capsule is committed to sustainable growth and long-term partnerships, embedded within the UK Startup/Scaleup Ecosystem. The company was founded by a team who previously scaled and exited a top-50 UK brokerage. Today we're a team of 80+ brilliant and ambitious Capsulites across the Cheltenham and London offices and we're growing fast. To drive the next chapter of our journey, we're looking for great people to join us.
Role Description
The Technology Broker is a full-time, hybrid role based in Cheltenham (4 days in the office), responsible for advising high-growth clients on tailored insurance solutions. Day-to-day, you'll manage client journeys from prospect to renewal with a strong focus on service excellence - analysing programmes to spot underinsurance or cover gaps, designing bespoke solutions, and structuring compliant global insurance programmes, including complex placements involving partner brokers and the London Market.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What makes this different from broking elsewhere? No cold calling, cold emailing or LinkedIn messaging required - your focus is entirely on delivering outstanding technical advice and service to warm enquiries.
You'll work closely with our Growth and Marketing teams, supporting case studies and content, and act as a technical resource for junior colleagues. Most of your day is a mix of focused, independent case work and client-facing conversations, with a good balance of internal collaboration and external relationship-building. If you like variety, enjoy building deep sector expertise, and want to work with some of the UK's most exciting tech scale-ups, this is the role for you.
Skills you'll need:
- Commercially strong - solid commercial insurance experience across Financial Lines (Tech E&O/PI, Management Liability, Cyber, IP), ancillary policies and multinational placements
- Analytically sharp - able to identify coverage gaps and assess risk exposure across a complex client programme
- Client-first - excellent customer service focus throughout the policy lifecycle, from prospect through to renewal
- Confident communicator - comfortable engaging clients and insurers clearly and professionally, whether by phone, video call or in writing
- A creative problem-solver - confident challenging assumptions where needed, rather than accepting the first answer
- Well organised - able to prioritise and manage a varied workload independently, while working collaboratively with the wider team
- Progressing your CII - working towards or holding CII qualifications is a bonus
- Systems & IT - experience using Acturis, and familiarity with tools like Hubspot, Recorder, Slack and Pitch, is a plus
