Why this Role?

This is a great opportunity to join our Technology Controls team as a Technology Control Assurance Specialist, helping to strengthen how we assess, evidence and improve the effectiveness of key technology controls across Tesco Insurance and Money Services. You’ll play an important role in supporting a robust control environment, providing insight on control performance and helping teams understand where improvements are needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the delivery of control assurance activity across key technology processes, helping to assess whether controls are designed and operating effectively.
  • Work with control owners and technology teams to gather evidence, understand control performance and identify gaps, themes or areas for improvement.
  • Document assurance outcomes clearly, ensuring findings, actions and supporting evidence are accurate, proportionate and aligned to agreed standards.
  • Track agreed actions through to completion, supporting colleagues to remediate control weaknesses and improve control maturity.
  • Contribute to reporting that provides clear insight on control effectiveness, risks, issues and emerging themes for technology leadership and risk forums.
  • Support continuous improvement by helping to refine assurance approaches, templates and ways of working across the Technology Controls team.

What We’re Looking For (Minimum Criteria)

  • Experience of working in technology risk, controls, assurance, audit, compliance or a similar governance-focused role.
  • Good understanding of control design, control testing, evidence review and the importance of clear, accurate documentation.

  • Well organised, with good attention to detail and the ability to manage assurance activity, evidence requests and action tracking to agreed timescales.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
