About The Role

We're looking for a Junior Infrastructure, Cloud & Security Engineer to join our Infrastructure, Cloud & Security team within CACI's central Technology function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career who is passionate about cloud technologies, networking and cybersecurity. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, supporting and securing enterprise infrastructure across cloud, network and on-premises environments while developing your skills in AWS, Linux, networking and security technologies.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll support the delivery, maintenance and security of CACI's infrastructure services, including:

  • Assisting with the administration and monitoring of AWS cloud environments
  • Supporting network infrastructure across Cisco and Meraki platforms
  • Helping manage firewalls, VPNs and network security controls
  • Supporting Linux server administration, patching and monitoring
  • Assisting with incident investigation and infrastructure troubleshooting
  • Contributing to vulnerability management and security improvement initiatives
  • Supporting ISO27001 compliance activities and security best practices
  • Producing technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Contributing to infrastructure upgrades and technology projects

  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
  • Knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, DNS and DHCP
  • Basic understanding of firewalls, VPNs and network security principles
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems
  • Understanding of Windows Server and Active Directory fundamentals
  • Awareness of AWS and cloud computing concepts
  • Understanding of common cybersecurity threats and security best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for learning

Experience

We welcome experience gained through employment, apprenticeships, education, home labs or personal projects in areas such as:

  • Networking
  • Linux administration
  • Cloud technologies
  • Infrastructure support
  • Cybersecurity

Desirable Skills

Experience or exposure to any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Cisco networking equipment
  • Check Point firewalls
  • AWS or Azure cloud services
  • VPN technologies
  • Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
  • ISO27001 environments
  • Scripting and automation (Bash, Python or PowerShell)
  • Monitoring and security tools
  • Infrastructure-as-Code concepts

Relevant Certifications

We're interested in candidates working towards or holding certifications such as:

  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate
  • Cisco CCNA
  • Linux Essentials / LPIC-1
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
