Technology Director
Behind every sold-out show, every unforgettable fan experience, every seamless ticket scan, every perfectly timed spotlight and every epic encore, there's technology making the magic happen.
At YTL Live, we're not just opening a new venue; we're creating one of the UK's most exciting destinations for live entertainment. And we're looking for a Technology Director to be at the heart of it.
This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up. You'll shape the technology strategy that powers our venues, lead the delivery of the systems and infrastructure needed to launch Aviva Arena, and create the digital foundations that will support our ambitions for years to come.
From cyber security and connectivity to customer-facing digital experiences, data, infrastructure and operational technology, you'll ensure every piece of the technology puzzle comes together perfectly.
Part strategist, part innovator, part problem solver, you'll help create a technology ecosystem that is secure, resilient, commercially effective and ready to deliver extraordinary experiences for artists, audiences, partners and colleagues alike.
If you're excited by the idea of building, launching and evolving world-class technology in a world-class entertainment venue, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Shape and deliver the technology strategy that powers Aviva Arena and the wider YTL Live estate, turning big ambitions into reality.
- Lead the technology programme behind the opening of Aviva Arena, bringing together infrastructure, systems, data and digital experiences into one seamless ecosystem.
- Ensure our technology is secure, resilient, scalable and ready to perform when thousands of fans walk through the doors.
- Work closely with design, construction and operational teams, solving challenges, removing roadblocks and keeping delivery on track.
- Create brilliant digital experiences for audiences, using technology to enhance every stage of the customer journey.
- Build strong partnerships with suppliers and technology partners, getting the very best value, performance and innovation from every relationship.
- Drive smart, sustainable technology decisions that support both business goals and long-term environmental ambitions.
- Develop robust support, disaster recovery and event-day resilience plans because when the lights go up, everything needs to work.
- Spot opportunities to innovate, improve and do things differently, keeping YTL Live ahead of the curve.
- Build, inspire and lead a high-performing technology team that's as passionate about delivering exceptional experiences as you are.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
