Looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a FTSE listed business on a contract role. This role will play a key part in delivering financial planning, reporting, governance, and business partnering across the Technology function while helping drive an ambitious finance transformation agenda. This sits within the Group Finance function.

This is a senior, business facing position offering significant exposure to executive stakeholders and the opportunity to influence strategic decision making. Initially offered as a 6 month contract, there is a strong expectation that the role will extend as transformation activity continues.

Paying £550-600 a day inside IR35, depending on relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning.
  • Deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting, consolidation and month-end activities.
  • Ensure strong financial governance, controls and compliance across the Technology Finance function.
  • Partner with senior Technology and business leaders, providing commercial insight, constructive challenge and strategic financial support.
  • Support the Head of Finance as deputy, representing the function where required.
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives, including process improvement, automation and operating model changes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and decision-making through continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and review the work of finance analysts, providing guidance and leadership across the team.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Technology and wider business functions to support organisational objectives.

Skills and Experience

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), with ACA preferred.
  • Extensive post-qualified experience in finance leadership roles within large, complex organisations (FTSE 100 or similar).
  • Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and consolidation.
  • Excellent controllership, governance and technical finance expertise.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing business decisions.
  • A track record of leading finance transformation, process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience coordinating and developing analysts or junior finance team members.
  • Excellent communication, commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
  • Resilience, adaptability and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

  • Technology sector experience.
