Liberty Blume Business Solutions
Liberty Blume Business Solutions, or BBS for short, sits right at the heart of what we do at Liberty Blume, providing technology first, cost effective business services that can be scaled to provide the support our businesses need to operate effectively.
This is not a rotation programme designed to give you a flavour of different jobs. It is a structured two-year technical apprenticeship built to produce engineers who understand business context, can operate in AI-native environments, and are ready to contribute meaningfully from day one.
We are building Liberty Blume's technology function from the ground up. A GCP-first platform organisation with AI embedded at its core. The graduates who join this scheme will work alongside that buildout, not observe it from the sidelines.
We have four places. We are looking for people who are technically sharp, intellectually curious, and willing to work in ambiguity.
The Assessment Centre for this scheme will be held in mid January 2027, with anticipated start date September 2027.
What To Expect
Year 1 — Technology Context Rotations
Three rotations of approximately 4 months each across the Technology supplementary functions. The purpose is not job-shadowing — you will own deliverables in each rotation.
- Product & Delivery — work embedded with our product team on our internal and external products. Learn how technical decisions translate into product outcomes.
- Tech PMO — contribute to resource and delivery tracking across our engineering portfolio. Understand how technology investment is governed, tracked, and reported.
- Tech Strategy — support architecture review, vendor assessment, and strategic initiatives.

Year 2 — Engineering Team
A full year embedded in our central Engineering team. You will contribute to production codebases and AI platform development on Google Cloud Platform. By the end of Year 2, you will be operating as a junior software engineer with real responsibilities.
Throughout Year 2, you will work toward Google Cloud certifications, supported by structured study time and access to Google's training resources.
What You Will Work On
Liberty Blume builds and operates technology platforms for our business and customer. Our core platforms run on a microservices architecture on GCP. Our AI platform (Blume AI) is being built on Vertex AI and is central to our product strategy.
During This Scheme You Can Expect Direct Exposure To
- Google Cloud Platform - e.g. Cloud Run, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Apigee, Document AI
- AI and LLM integration – e.g. working with large language models in production contexts, not just experimental settings
- Infrastructure-as-code – e.g. Terraform, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines
- API-first architecture – e.g. microservices design patterns, integration engineering
- Data engineering – e.g. structured data pipelines, analytics, FinOps instrumentation
We work closely with Google Cloud as a strategic partner. Graduates on this scheme will benefit from that relationship directly, including access to Google-led training and the pathway to formal GCP certifications.
Who We Are Looking For
We are primarily targeting graduates from Computer Science, Software Engineering, or adjacent STEM disciplines. However, we are open to any STEM background if you can demonstrate strong technical aptitude and the right mindset.

We are more interested in how you think, than what you already know. The landscape of software development is changing rapidly, AI-assisted engineering is already here. We want people who can adapt, reason clearly under ambiguity, and learn fast.
You Should Apply If You
- Have or are completing a degree in a STEM subject (Computer Science or Engineering preferred)
- Can demonstrate genuine curiosity about how technology systems work — not just surface-level interest
- Are comfortable working with incomplete information and iterating toward a solution
- Have some exposure to programming, scripting, or data analysis — however that came about
- Are interested in the intersection of AI, cloud infrastructure, and real business problems
- Want to understand the full stack from business context to production deployment
You Probably Should Not Apply If You
- Are looking for a clearly defined 9-to-5 with low ambiguity
- Want to spend Year 1 watching and Year 2 doing
- Are not interested in engineering as an outcome
