Who we are
At Fidelity International, we help our clients build better financial futures. We do that by working together across a global organisation and continually looking for better ways to serve and protect them. Technology is fundamental to how Fidelity operates. As our use of technology evolves, so do the threats, risks and opportunities around it. Cyber Resilience & Trust helps Fidelity operate securely and confidently today while preparing for the technologies and threats of tomorrow.
The team you'll join
You'll join Cyber Resilience & Trust, bringing together the people and capabilities that help protect Fidelity, reduce cyber risk and establish trust across our digital environment. Our work spans defending Fidelity against cyber threats, protecting digital identities, helping teams build secure technology and using data, AI and automation to improve security outcomes. Where you initially work will be shaped by the needs of the organisation and the opportunities available when you join. You'll have a core team where you’ll deliver against corporate objectives however you will also need to work collaboratively across the wider function and broader organisation to tackle challenges, share learning and drive outcomes.
What you'll be doing
You'll contribute to real cyber security work from the start, learning alongside experienced specialists and applying your skills to problems that matter.
The exact work will depend on the area you join and the challenges we are addressing at the time. You could find yourself:
- investigating cyber threats and helping to understand their potential impact on Fidelity
- working with security and technology data to identify risks, vulnerabilities or unusual activity
- understanding and assessing whether security controls are operating effectively
- supporting the protection of identities, systems, applications and information
- working with technology teams to build security into new services and ways of working
- exploring how data, automation and AI can improve security outcomes
- analysing problems and evidence to help teams make informed decisions
- collaborating with colleagues across cyber, technology and the wider business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You won't be expected to know how to do all of this when you arrive. You'll build your capability through practical experience, learning and support.
The difference you'll make
Cyber security is ultimately about trust. Our clients trust Fidelity with their information and their financial futures, while our colleagues depend on technology they can use safely. Your contribution could help us identify a threat earlier, reduce an important exposure, strengthen how access is protected, improve the security of new technology or find a better way of solving a problem through data, AI or automation. Whatever part of Cyber Resilience & Trust you join, you'll contribute to the same goal: helping Fidelity operate securely and resiliently while preparing for what comes next.
How you'll be supported
You won't be expected to start your career knowing everything about cyber security. You'll learn through real work, structured development and support from colleagues with experience across cyber security and technology. You'll also be part of Fidelity's wider early careers community, giving you opportunities to build your network and learn beyond your immediate team. You'll work with people across the company where the work requires it, helping you understand how different cyber capabilities connect within a global organisation. As your knowledge and confidence develop, we'll help you build deeper skills and prepare for the next stage of your career.
What we're looking for
You don't need previous professional cyber security experience to apply. We're more interested in how you think, what interests you and your potential to learn.
