This is stronger than the generic title “Research & Strategy Analyst” because it connects directly to N Consulting’s published technology, analytics and consulting services.

Recommended role purpose

The Technology & Industry Research Analyst will conduct quantitative and qualitative research into emerging technologies, industry developments, customer expectations, competitor offerings and market opportunities relevant to N Consulting’s digital and professional services.

The postholder will produce evidence-based insights that support service development, market positioning, client proposals and commercial planning across application services, analytics, cloud, infrastructure management and knowledge-process outsourcing.

Tailored principal duties

  • Research developments in cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, application services and digital customer experience.
  • Monitor the banking, insurance, media, telecom and energy sectors to identify changing customer requirements and market opportunities.
  • Design appropriate quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Conduct structured desk research, surveys, stakeholder interviews and competitor analysis.
  • Analyse competitors’ technology services, delivery models, pricing, positioning and market presence.
  • Evaluate market demand for N Consulting’s application, analytics, cloud, infrastructure and KPO/BPO offerings.
  • Gather and synthesise information from clients, consultants, technology partners and industry sources.
  • Analyse research findings to identify trends, risks and commercial opportunities.
  • Prepare research reports, market briefings, presentations and executive summaries.
  • Make evidence-based recommendations concerning service positioning, target industries and go-to-market priorities.
  • Provide research evidence for client proposals and business-development initiatives.
  • Maintain an organised repository of research sources, methodologies and findings.
  • Present findings to management, sales, business-development and consulting teams.
  • Monitor the commercial impact of decisions supported by research.
