Technology Lead – Azure & Application Modernisation

Location: Cardiff, UK

Work Mode: Hybrid – 1 Day/Week in Office

Engagement: Contract

Experience: 10+ Years in Project / Programme Delivery

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technology Lead / Technical Delivery Manager to lead application maintenance, upgrades and modernisation across a Microsoft Azure environment. The role combines technical oversight, programme governance, stakeholder management and end-to-end delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple application upgrade and modernisation workstreams
  • Coordinate Windows Server, SQL Server, .NET and Azure infrastructure upgrades
  • Act as the primary onshore contact for client stakeholders
  • Manage delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues
  • Lead technical governance meetings and architecture reviews
  • Coordinate ServiceNow change requests, CAB approvals and releases
  • Manage deployment, testing, release and hypercare activities
  • Provide programme reporting, executive updates and risk escalations

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or MSP
  • Microsoft Azure certifications
  • ITIL Foundation / Managing Professional
  • Agile or Scrum certification
