As the Technology Manager for Cloud Operations

You will be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of our cloud-based systems. This role is crucial in maintaining the stability and performance of our technology stack, which underpins our entire supermarket operation. You will work closely with our technology and business teams to understand their needs and implement effective cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of cloud operations specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Develop and implement cloud strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, identifying and resolving any bottlenecks or issues.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our cloud-based systems, implementing robust security measures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with other technology teams to integrate cloud services and ensure seamless data flow.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends, evaluating and recommending new tools and services.
  • Manage cloud resource allocation and cost optimization, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
  • Document and maintain cloud architecture and processes, ensuring clear and accessible documentation.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders, offering solutions and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, maintaining a secure and compliant cloud environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud operations, with a proven track record of managing complex cloud environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Experience with cloud security best practices and implementing security measures.
  • Familiarity with cloud automation and orchestration tools is preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to understand business needs and translate them into effective cloud solutions.
  • Up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the cloud space.
