Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is part of the BMW Group and its Goodwood manufacturing plant sits in the heart of the West Sussex countryside. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood – Future Talent Events Placement Year (July 2027)

The Rolls-Royce Future Talent team is responsible for steering the training and development needs of all Intern, Graduates and Apprentices within our Goodwood office.

In the Apprentice Training area, you will be part of the team to support with all aspects of apprentice onboarding, apprentice marketing and school events. You will develop and organise apprentice engagement activities. Over the course of the year, you will build the skills needed to plan and run apprentice events including recruitment Assessment Centres and Welcome Evenings.

What awaits you?

  • Learn the spectrum of laboratory research in an agile environment.
  • Develop testing plans with us, accompany us in carrying out and evaluating complex investigations and problem analyses in the areas of metals/non-metals as well as chemistry and process materials.
  • Work on topics of the future and participate to shape them with us.
  • Use the knowledge you have learned to interpret the results, generate recommendations and solutions, and learn to create test reports.
  • Support in the development of test methods and the continuous improvement of existing test methods and get the opportunity to make a decisive contribution to the production of the future.
  • Through daily contact with a wide range of process partners, you gain deep insights into various areas of the company and help shape them.
  • Enjoy cross-site collaboration and communication with the plants and other TWA/laboratory locations.

What should you bring along?

  • Study of materials science, chemistry, surface technology, plastics technology, mechanical engineering or scientifically based education and experience that are relevant to the professional role.
  • Proven experience in a laboratory environment and practical experience with material analysis in the laboratory is desirable.
  • Broad knowledge of production processes and BMW wider business to support technical knowledge is desirable.
  • Analytical thinking, ability to work in a team, IT skills and a structured way of working.
  • In-depth knowledge of problem resolution techniques and / or project management.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental impacts.
  • Valid UK driving license.
