Technology Operations Manager (Contract)
High-growth UK fintech bank | London | Outside IR35 | 1-2 Days in office | 6 Months
Trakd is partnering with one of the UK's fastest-growing fintech banks to hire a Technology Operations Manager. You'll own and develop the technology operations function as the business scales, working on-site alongside colleagues and stakeholders rather than behind a ticket queue.
What you'll be doing
- Leading the IT service desk and technology operations team, setting standards for service quality, responsiveness and user experience
- Owning endpoint management, device standards and end-user technology across the business
- Working with the Security team to build endpoint hardening, patching and vulnerability remediation into day-to-day operations
- Running the technology side of joiners, movers and leavers, so that provisioning, access management and deprovisioning have no gaps
- Managing technology suppliers and service providers so the business gets reliable service and good value
- Contributing to the technology risk and controls framework, and supporting internal and external audits
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Product and other teams
- Improving tooling, automation and processes to keep operations scalable as the business grows

What you'll bring

- Proven experience leading an IT service desk or technology operations team in a regulated environment, ideally financial services or fintech
- Strong knowledge of endpoint management, identity and access management, and modern workplace technology, for example Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID
- Experience working with security teams on patching, hardening and vulnerability management
- Experience managing suppliers and third-party service providers
- An understanding of IT risk, controls and audit requirements in a regulated business
- A hands-on, practical approach and the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
