Technology Operations & Solutions Technician
Training The Street (TTS) is the world's leading financial learning services company, delivering targeted, hands-on training to corporate and academic clients across the globe. We're looking for a Technology Operations & Solutions Technician to join our Technology team, supporting the day-to-day operations, security, and governance of our systems as the business grows beyond a SaaS-only stack into a mix of custom-built and third-party solutions.
In this role, you'll be a front-line partner for IT support, onboarding and offboarding, and security operations - triaging issues, provisioning accounts and devices, and helping maintain the controls and documentation that keep the business compliant and protected. As you grow into the role, you'll also help design, build, and operate a growing suite of internally-developed tools, working closely with stakeholders across the business to turn requirements into secure, reliable, well-maintained solutions.
This is a great fit for someone who's comfortable moving between hands-on support and hands-on building - someone who brings good judgment to a small team without heavy process, and is motivated to fix things regardless of whose job it technically is.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Support the creation or improvement of operating procedures and technical documentation.
- Assist with security monitoring, vulnerability remediation, patch management, and incident response activities.
- Contribute to compliance initiatives, including maintaining evidence for audits, supporting regulatory requirements, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, assisting with IT risk assessments and implementation of risk mitigation actions.
- Be willing to respond during project launches or to incidents outside of normal working hours, acting as a first point of contact when issues arise.
Project Support
- Support with the scoping and translation of business requirements from non-technical stakeholders into working, well-structured solutions.
- Assist the team to design and build internal solutions using AI (via Claude Code / Anthropic API / MCPs) and appropriate database engines (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
- Integrate solutions with existing SaaS tools where needed (APIs, webhooks, data sync).
- Plan out and own day-to-day technical operations for existing applications and future solutions: monitoring, logging, backups, incident response, maintain access control, authentication, and permissions.
- Establish basic operational discipline and maintainable engineering standards where they don't yet exist: deployment processes, environment separation (dev/test/prod), documentation, and change control.
- Apply security best practice across solution lifecycle — from secure coding through to infrastructure configuration (cloud hosting, secrets management, patching).
- Be a creative contributor to the technical direction of the company at large.
