Technology Programme Manager

💰 £90,000-£110,000
We're supporting a well-established technology-focused organisation as they embark on a significant business and technology transformation journey. As part of a growing change function, we are seeking an experienced Technology Programme Manager to lead a portfolio of strategic initiatives that will shape the organisation's future operating model, technology landscape and delivery capability.
This is a high-profile role requiring someone who can confidently operate across executive, business and technology stakeholders whilst bringing structure, insight and delivery rigour to complex programmes.
The successful candidate will oversee multiple interconnected initiatives, ensuring risks are managed proactively, governance remains effective and delivery outcomes stay aligned to strategic objectives.
The Role:
Reporting into senior transformation leadership, you will lead the planning and delivery of large-scale technology and change programmes, working closely with stakeholders across business, technology and operational functions.
This role requires somebody who combines excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with strong programme delivery expertise and sufficient technical understanding to challenge assumptions, identify delivery risks and navigate complex transformation environments.

- Provide programme leadership across multiple strategic technology and transformation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain integrated programme plans, roadmaps and delivery milestones.
- Identify, manage and communicate critical dependencies across workstreams and teams.
- Establish effective governance, reporting frameworks and programme controls.
- Monitor programme health, delivery progress, risks, issues and budget performance.
- Support senior sponsors and steering committees with clear, actionable programme insights.
- Drive stakeholder alignment and facilitate effective decision-making across business and technology teams.
- Ensure programme outcomes remain aligned to strategic objectives and expected benefits.
- Manage third-party suppliers and delivery partners where required.
- Champion programme management best practice and continuous improvement.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience delivering complex technology and business transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of software delivery, technology change and organisational transformation.
- Experience managing large budgets and multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
- Experience operating across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery environments.
- Strong governance, risk, dependency and stakeholder management capability.
- Demonstrable success delivering programmes within complex organisational environments.
- Experience engaging with senior leadership teams, executive stakeholders and steering committees.
- Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills.
- Experience using programme and portfolio management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro and MS Project.
