The Role

In this role, the Technology Specialist will support the technical operations of MultiStory - Daytime production output and ensure defined media workflows are maintained and carried out across the defined roster dynamic. They will ensure MultiStory - Daytime media ingest and media management workflows, from capture through to final delivery and archive, across all production output is carried out and quality assurances are maintained. They will also ensure that the best working practices are adhered to, in line with ITV policies, across all production going through the MultiStory - Daytime production unit.


Key Responsibilities

Broadcast Support:

  • Be a highly visible, proactive and engaging team member, providing key support to other Production users within a live broadcast environment, working quickly to resolve Technology issues.
  • You will support the facilitation of the acquisition and management of media for MultiStory - Daytime.
  • You will work with multi formats and take responsibility for Programme recordings and media ingest, using industry software while ensuring quality control is adhered to.

System Management:

  • You will carry out routine maintenance of critical Broadcast IT systems.
  • You will document and maintain live procedural documents for the benefit of the Technology team.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Experience working in a live television environment.
  • An understanding of Post Production and Media Ingest / file based workflows.
  • An awareness around File asset management and archive solutions, including media management of these high value assets for business needs.
  • Experience around documentation of Technical procedures and maintaining live documents for peers.
