About ITSA
Industry Technology Strategy & Architecture leads at the intersection of business and technology, driving maximum client value through the exploitation of AI, technology and data. We serve as the primary architect of our clients' industry-relevant technology estate, defining future-state visions, building the business case for change, and designing the enterprise architecture that turns ambition into an executable roadmap. Our work spans four solution areas: Business Technology Strategy, Technology Visioning / Future Tech & Innovation, Enterprise & Technology AI & Data Strategy, and Industry Enterprise Architecture. Across all of them we deliver measurable outcomes: full traceability between business priorities and technology investment, stronger investment alignment and prioritization, reduced architectural complexity and duplication, and faster identification of AI, data and digital opportunities.
Your responsibilities
- Own workstreams and delivery within technology strategy engagements, shaping scope, mobilising teams, managing plans, risks, issues, client expectations and project commercials, and delivering to agreed time, budget and quality.
- Assess the current technology footprint and market to identify and prioritise value creation opportunities, including where emerging technologies such as agentic AI reshape workflows and competitive positioning.
- Define and co-create a compelling technology vision, shaping the role of data, AI, GenAI and agentic AI in business strategies.
- Design technology operating models and roadmaps that integrate AI capabilities and sequence investments across planning horizons.
- Build value and business cases aligned to client planning cycles, and pressure-test leadership assumptions, including AI-generated insights.
- Facilitate and drive consensus for action across business and technology stakeholders.
- Ensure traceability between business priorities, technology investments and roadmaps.
- Help shape enterprise AI and data strategies, including roadmaps for scaling enterprise AI and foundation data.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, contribute relevant points of view, and identify opportunities to extend or create new work.
- Support senior leadership in sales and origination by identifying and qualifying opportunities, shaping proposals and statements of work, and matching client needs to relevant Accenture offerings.
- Lead medium-to-large teams or work efforts, setting clear objectives and standards, coordinating and delegating work, and building an effective, positive team environment.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members through regular feedback and formal performance responsibilities, addressing development needs and contributing to hiring, staffing and resourcing decisions.
- Own the quality of documents, presentations, analyses and other deliverables produced by the team, ensuring they are rigorous, coherent and ready to be presented to C-suite and executive-level audiences.
- Contribute to the growth and effective operation of the Accenture practice and ITSA by leading capability-building and community initiatives, supporting recruitment, sharing knowledge, developing reusable assets and thought leadership, and meeting internal business obligations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
