Workstream Lead - Lead/Senior PM - Financial Services - Birmingham - Hybrid - FTC 2.5 years - Circa £90-100k plus bonus and benefits
We are looking for a highly experienced Workstream Lead to take ownership of the technology delivery on a large scale Programme of work for a Financial Services business in Birmingham. You will need to have led the technical delivery of projects in a regulated and ideally banking environment, ideally on multiple occasions.
The business is a purpose-led business which are undergoing one of the most significant transformations in their existence. They are looking for someone that is capable in delivery and leadership to make this Programme a success.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, management and delivery of your workstream (Technical Delivery), defining and tracking plans, milestones, dependencies, and resources to keep delivery on time, on budget, and aligned to programme objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for your stakeholders, building strong relationships across business, technology, and change teams, and working closely with third-party suppliers and implementation partners.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and interdependencies with other workstreams, escalating where needed, and ensuring all deliverables meet quality, regulatory, and governance standards.
- Prepare updates and papers for programme boards and steering committees, facilitate workshops and decision-making forums, and support audit and risk requirements throughout delivery.
- Provide clear leadership across matrix teams, fostering collaboration and accountability, championing customer outcomes, and ensuring change is successfully embedded into business-as-usual, with benefits tracked and lessons captured through post-implementation review.

- Experience leading the technical delivery of projects in a regulated and ideally banking environment.
- Proven track record of managing large scale technology transformation programmes.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage and mitigate risks and issues effectively.
- Experience working with third-party suppliers and implementation partners.
