Description
Full time / 37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term for 12 Months
Our Adult social care teams provide vital services to the people of Leicester. With many unsung heroes such as the Technology Enabled Care Services. Who provide a efficient and effective service to keep people in their own homes.
As an officer your role is to deliver and maintain technology solutions into people’s homes to support their daily life and wellbeing. Through these solutions people will be able to summon assistance or manage day to day activities for themselves. A key part in supporting the health, wellbeing and independence of people within the city.
Operating on a rota pattern with the 4 other TECS officers between you you’ll cover 7 days per week between 8am and 8pm. Primarily be remote working to deliver services into people’s homes. You will undertake some office based duties to prepare for home visits, manage stock., etc.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Review the appointments scheduled for yourself on a planner and familiarise yourself with the person you will be visiting. Focusing on the outcome that is to be achieved via the technology solution.
- When visiting the person, reassure them about the benefits of a technology solution and decide upon the most suitable solution for the person. Liaising with the person to be supported, their nominated responders and/or social care services.
- Update the database to record of all technology installed and input the personal details that you’ve gathered. This will help the LeicesterCare service respond to alarm calls received from the person via any technology you have installed.
- Create strong links with the team.

What You’ll Need
- Communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pull together information from various sources during a home visit
- Confidence in decision making when recommending a technology solution
- Empathy and reassuring attitude towards the person and their responders
- Full valid driving licence (as you will be driving a City Council provided vehicle)
