The Role

We're looking for a Telecoms Business Development Manager to join us in a full-time, hybrid role based in Worthing, with flexibility to work from home. You'll be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities in telecommunications and related IT services across the UK.

Day-to-day, you'll be:

  • Prospecting and qualifying leads
  • Preparing and delivering client presentations
  • Managing your sales pipeline
  • Negotiating commercial terms in line with company targets
  • Collaborating closely with our technical and IT project teams to design solutions that meet client requirements
  • Providing consultative support throughout the sales cycle
  • Maintaining strong relationships with both existing and potential customers — including new business and resigns
  • Monitoring market trends
  • Contributing to our sales strategy
  • Supporting the creation of proposals and bids that reflect Overline's high service standards

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within telecommunications, ideally serving both SMEs and larger enterprises
  • Strong skills in prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline management, and closing deals, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to understand and articulate telephony, connectivity, and IT solutions, working closely with technical teams to shape client proposals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a consultative approach to understanding client needs and building long-term relationships
  • Comfort with hybrid working, including in-person client meetings in Worthing and across the region, as well as remote collaboration
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office productivity tools to support reporting, forecasting, and account management
  • Relevant qualification in business, marketing, IT, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; industry certifications in telecoms or networking are an advantage
  • Understanding of the UK and European telecommunications market, including key competitors, products, and regulatory considerations, is beneficial
  • Must be able to self-generate your own new business

What's on Offer

  • £50,000 basic salary per annum
  • OTE £75,000+ with an uncapped commission structure
