Job Description

As the first dedicated Telecommunication Engineer, you will own Dwelly’s entire communication infrastructure, managing IP telephony, SMS, email, and WhatsApp channels. You’ll ensure high reliability across providers like Twilio and Vonage while supporting rapid growth through agency acquisitions, building complex routing logic, and solving technical escalations to empower a 1,500-person team.

What You Will Do

  • Design and maintain sophisticated IP telephony routing, IVR logic, and CLI configurations to ensure seamless inbound and outbound call flows.
  • Manage and optimize channel health across Twilio, Vonage, and Voximplant, monitoring delivery quality, blacklists, and spam ratings to ensure zero downtime.
  • Lead technical integrations during agency acquisitions, migrating legacy telecom stacks to Dwelly’s infrastructure with minimal disruption and high precision.

The ideal candidate

  • Deep technical expertise in SIP, VoIP, and telephony routing at the protocol level, including experience with SIP traces and trunk failover management.
  • Proven track record troubleshooting communication APIs, webhooks, and delivery failures across SMS, email (SendGrid), and WhatsApp Business API (WABA).
  • A proactive, startup-ready mindset with the ability to manage vendors, use AI tools for automation, and navigate fast-paced acquisition-led growth.
