Job Title: Telecommunications Engineer

Day Rate: £200-225/day

Location: Edinburgh

Contract Length: 3 years

Telecommunications Engineer - Role & Responsibilities

  • Install, commission and maintain telecoms network equipment across the telecommunications network.
  • Carry out fault finding, planned maintenance and 24/7 assurance activities to meet agreed service levels.
  • Complete project documentation, testing and commissioning records to a high standard.
  • Work alongside Project Engineers to deliver network upgrades, installations and technical projects across Scotland.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, following RAMS, quality standards and health & safety procedures.

Telecommunications Engineer - Required Experience

  • Proven experience installing and commissioning telecommunications or network infrastructure equipment.
  • Strong understanding of IP networking, including LAN, WAN, routing and switching principles.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting telecoms technologies such as fibre, SDH/PDH, microwave or transmission networks.
  • Knowledge of Cisco, Alcatel or similar networking equipment, with the ability to work independently in the field.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel throughout Scotland, including occasional on-call and out-of-hours work.
