We're working with an award-winning, rapidly growing telecoms provider that delivers cloud communications, networking and connectivity solutions to businesses across the UK. Due to continued growth, they're looking to add a Telecoms Installation Engineer to their technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with modern technologies including hosted telephony, WiFi, networking and structured cabling, while joining a company that genuinely invests in its people.

The Role

You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality installations and technical support for business customers across a range of cloud communications and network infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installing CAT5e/CAT6 structured cabling
  • Installing and configuring hosted/VoIP telephone systems
  • Deploying WiFi access points and wireless networks
  • Installing and configuring managed switches and routers
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting telecoms and network issues
  • Providing occasional remote technical support and service desk cover
  • Completing installation documentation and updating CRM/ticketing systems
  • Delivering an excellent customer experience throughout each project

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with engineers who have experience in several of the following:

  • Hosted or cloud telephone system installation and maintenance
  • Structured data cabling (CAT5e/CAT6)
  • WiFi installations
  • Network and router configuration
  • Managed switches
  • Technical support/service desk experience
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role
  • Full UK driving licence

Location

The role is primarily field-based, however you'll be expected to attend the company's Southampton office regularly. Applicants should therefore be based within reasonable commuting distance of Southampton.
