Telegram Community Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Telegram Community Manager based in the United Kingdom.

This role is an opportunity to become the local voice of a fast-growing online poker and digital gaming community. You will manage and grow a geo-specific Telegram community, creating an environment where players feel informed, welcomed, and genuinely connected.

The position combines community management, content creation, player engagement, and local market knowledge. You will lead conversations, respond to questions, share relevant updates, and introduce creative initiatives that encourage participation. Working closely with marketing, product, and development teams, you will help connect community feedback with broader business objectives.

The role is particularly suited to someone with strong knowledge of poker and an authentic understanding of local player culture.

With flexible, part-time working arrangements, it offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working within a dynamic blockchain and online gaming environment.

Accountabilities

  • Manage and moderate the local Telegram community, maintaining a positive, informative, and engaging environment.
  • Build strong relationships with community members by initiating conversations, responding to questions, and sharing timely updates.
  • Create and distribute engaging content covering poker, cryptocurrency, iGaming, blockchain gaming, product developments, announcements, and educational topics.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for community members, helping address questions, concerns, and issues efficiently.
  • Develop and implement initiatives designed to grow the community, improve engagement, and strengthen member retention.
  • Monitor community growth, engagement levels, and sentiment, providing regular insights and feedback to the wider team.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and development teams to align community activities with broader business priorities.
  • Organize and promote community activities such as AMAs, giveaways, contests, and other interactive events.
  • Stay informed about developments and trends across poker, cryptocurrency, blockchain, iGaming, and gaming.
  • Brainstorm and test new ideas for engaging players and strengthening the local poker community.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of poker is essential, with a genuine understanding of the game and its player ecosystem.
  • Native or fluent proficiency in the primary language of the community being managed, such as Korean, Japanese, French, or Italian.
  • Good knowledge of the relevant local poker community, player culture, and market dynamics.
  • Previous experience managing Telegram, Discord, poker groups, social communities, or similar online communities.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with players, initiating conversations, and maintaining an active community presence.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to communicate naturally in a community-first tone.
  • Knowledge or previous experience in online poker, iGaming, cryptocurrency, blockchain, or gaming is highly desirable.
  • Existing relationships or connections within a local poker ecosystem would be a strong advantage.
  • Proactive, creative, and community-oriented approach with the ability to identify new engagement opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
