New Telehandler Position Available at Randstad CPE

Job Title: Telehandler / Telescopic Handler Driver

Location: East Grinstead, West Sussex (RH19)

Start Date: Late October 2026

Contract Duration: Long Term / Ongoing

Pay Rate: GBP20.00 - GBP22.00 per hour (dependent on experience and pay type)

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Telehandler Driver to join an ongoing construction project in East Grinstead, starting towards the end of October 2026.

This is a great opportunity to secure steady, high-earning work through the autumn and winter months alongside an established main contractor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating a Telescopic Handler safely to move materials, pallets, and plant around a busy site.
  • Unloading delivery vehicles and safely loading materials onto elevated scaffold lifts and work bays.
  • Working closely with site trades (bricklayers, carpenters, groundworkers) to keep work areas supplied.
  • Carrying out daily pre-shift vehicle checks, basic maintenance, and logging any defects.
  • Strictly adhering to site traffic management plans, safe working loads, and health and safety standards.
  • Assisting with general site setup or light duties during operational downtime when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Valid CPCS Card (A17 Telescopic Handler essential: Blue Competent Operator preferred) OR NPORS Card (with CSCS logo).
  • Full PPE (Steel toe-cap boots, high-vis vest/jacket, hard hat, and gloves).
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience operating telehandlers on commercial or residential sites.
  • Strong spatial awareness, knowledge of load charts, and confidence operating on uneven ground.
  • Punctual, dependable, and clear communication skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Working Hours and Benefits

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (40-45 hours per week).
  • Start Date: Late October 2026.
  • Pay Rate: GBP20.00 - GBP22.00 per hour.
  • Payment Options: Weekly pay via CIS, Umbrella, or PAYE options available.
  • Free on-site parking available.
