About the Role
Cleanology is looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Business Lead Generation Executive to join our growing Sales and Growth team.
This isn't a traditional telemarketing role. We're looking for someone who can combine AI, digital prospecting, inbound lead management, LinkedIn, market intelligence, and good old-fashioned telephone sales to identify opportunities and open doors with potential clients.
Key Responsibilities
-
AI & Intelligent Prospecting
- Using AI tools to research organisations, sectors, prospects, and decision-makers.
- Identifying potential contract opportunities and trigger events.
- Building targeted prospect lists and account intelligence.
- Using data to identify where the strongest opportunities are likely to exist.
- Developing personalised approaches to target prospects.
- Combining AI research with human judgement and direct engagement.
- Helping us continually improve how technology is used across our lead-generation activity.
-
Self-Generated New Business
- Research and identify target organisations.
- Find the relevant Facilities, Property, Procurement, and senior decision-makers.
- Make targeted outbound calls.
- Introduce Cleanology and establish potential requirements.
- Identify contract renewal and procurement dates.
- Re-engage previous prospects and dormant opportunities.
- Develop relationships over time rather than relying on one-off calls.
- Secure qualified appointments for our Business Development team.
-
Inbound Lead Management
- Responding quickly to website and digital enquiries.
- Qualifying the opportunity properly.
- Understanding the client's requirements, timescales, and potential contract value.
- Following up proactively.
- Allocating qualified opportunities to the appropriate salesperson.
- Tracking every lead through to a clear outcome.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
