Role Description
The Telematics Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, and testing telematics and related communication equipment in vehicles on a full-time, on-site basis in Scotland, United Kingdom. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Performing cable routing
- Mounting hardware

The role involves:
- Conducting site or client visits
- Adhering to safety procedures
- Documenting completed work
- Providing clear technical explanations to customers or colleagues
The Telematics Engineer will collaborate with other team members to:
- Troubleshoot installation issues
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client requirements
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with telematics, vehicle electronics, or related installation work, including safe use of tools and test equipment.
- Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to read wiring diagrams, follow installation instructions, and use diagnostic software or devices.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Good organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple installations, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Understanding of health and safety practices relevant to vehicle and on-site work environments.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to client locations across Scotland, as required.
- Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in electronics, telecommunications, automotive engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
- Prior experience in telematics, fleet technology, or telecom installation is an advantage but motivated candidates with related experience are encouraged to apply.
