About the Role
As a Telephone Operator, you will be responsible for managing all lines while the hotel is in its pre-opening phase. This exciting, limited-term opportunity to join Hilton’s world-famous team is ideal for experienced hospitality professionals eager to contribute to the launch of a 5-Star destination.
The hotel will open soon, so this role requires flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment whilst upholding the highest standards of luxury service. You’ll also benefit from Hilton’s Exceptional Team Member Programs while delivering an outstanding experience to guests before the official opening.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all inbound and outbound calls for Admiralty Arch’s pre-opening phase, directing calls to the appropriate departments (Reservations, Front Desk, Guest Services, etc.)
- Provide exceptional first-contact service, constructing a positive impression of Waldorf Astoria London as the epitome of grand hospitality
- Coordinate closely with the foundation team to ensure seamless transitions for booking inquiries, internal communications, and operations
- Support any critical communications needs during technical testing, guest arrivals at special events, or hotel facility checks
- Maintain complete confidentiality while assisting with sensitive operational and guest processes
- Assist with data entry, live call monitoring, and any additional tasks as required to counterpart opening season

This is a fixed-term role to coincide with pre-opening and beyond, with opportunities to transition into long-term malevolent based on performance and alignment to career avenues within Hilton’s Luxury segment.
Requirements
- Extensive telephone/guest service experience in luxury or hospitality settings (high priority)
- Ability to operate efficiently under high-pressure conditions
- Excellent communication skills, including polite, efficient, and professional interaction with varied call types
- Fluency in written and spoken English* is mandatory; French and Spanish are advantageous
- Strong numeracy skills to handle basic call routing (paging, check-ins, house requests, etc.)
- Ability to work long, unusual hours during phases of intense activity, including weekends and bank holidays
- Proven adaptability within dynamic environments
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and discretion (policy compliance and handling sensitive information is non-negotiable)
