Description
We're looking for a driven salesperson to join our office-based sales team at LOCALiQ Wales.
You'll make outbound calls to local businesses, uncover opportunities and introduce advertising solutions across digital advertising, social media, video, websites, print and more. This is a proactive, target-driven role. You'll need to stay organised, follow up consistently and maintain momentum to achieve your goals. Our top performers are resilient, commercially minded relationship builders who thrive on converting conversations into sales and are motivated by success.
You don't need media experience, but you should have some sales experience, whether that's outbound sales, inbound sales, upselling, cross-selling, appointment setting or lead generation. As a minimum, you'll need experience in an office, call centre or customer-focused environment and be comfortable speaking with customers over the phone.
You'll thrive here if you are:
- Confident picking up the phone and creating opportunities
- Resilient, organised and determined to succeed
- Comfortable meeting and exceeding targets
- Motivated by uncapped earning potential
- Ambitious and focused on building a successful sales career
In return, you'll receive full training, ongoing coaching, uncapped commission and genuine opportunities to progress within LOCALiQ and the wider Newsquest Media Group. If you're looking for a role where hard work is recognised, success is rewarded and career progression is earned, we'd love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
