Company Description
Charles Street Finance (“CSF”) is a specialist secured lender based in Cheadle, South Manchester. Established in 1983, we’re a small team but have doubled the size of the loan book over 2 years such that we are seeking to grow and enhance the existing personnel in key areas to further facilitate our ambitions.
We are all about a common-sense proposition built around attention to detail and speed of response whilst always putting the customer at the heart of everything we do.

As a Telephony Business Development Manager, you will develop and manage strong relationships with brokers and introducers to generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound activity and an established professional network. This role will allow you to build your own broker panel and play a key role in driving new business for Charles Street.
As a Telephony Business Development Manager, we are looking for someone to:
- Oversee the end-to-end sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate forecasting, and efficient progression of deals
- Proactively engage with clients, brokers, and introducers via phone and email to convert opportunities, issue terms, and secure commitments
- Identify barriers to conversion and implement strategies to improve win rates and reduce drop-off
- Work closely with underwriting, legal, and operations teams to ensure a smooth client journey from application to drawdown
- Identifying opportunities for repeat business and client retention
- Contribute to sales strategy, process improvement, and training initiatives to enhance team effectiveness
Qualifications
Essential
- Business Development experience within Bridging Finance for a Specialist / Property Lender
- Strong track record in target-driven environments with experience in internal sales or tele-sales
- Proven ability to develop Broker relationships and generate new business
- Ability to multi-task to ensure SLAs are met
- Confidence to pursue leads and use sales techniques to overcome objections
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
