Your new role
Installation & Setup
- Install, configure, and test new hardware, software, or machinery on sites around the UK
Responsibilities
- 8x8 VoIP will be rolled out across all sites
- Uninterruptable Power Supplies will be installed across all sites to ensure that there is continuity of Voice & IP services in the event of a power loss
- Removal of old PBX equipment and handsets for WEE disposal
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot complex technical issues, from mechanical breakdowns to network failures
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure project goals are met
- Support: Provide on-site training and guidance to users
- Documentation & Reporting: Create detailed reports on site conditions, assist with planning, project progress and resolved issues
- Undertake any duties allocated by the Service Desk Manager to support the organisation including installation of new equipment, configuration changes and replacement of faulty equipment

Requirements
- Knowledge of telephone systems (PBX & VOIP) - 8x8 solution
- Understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, Switches, VPN etc)
- Strong knowledge of managing IP network equipment including the deployment of campus WiFi solutions
- A deep understanding of specific engineering fields, such as IT, electrical, or mechanical systems
- Experience working with Azure Data Services or Azure Data Factory
- Experience managing Active Directory

- The role is inside IR35 and fully expenses.
