Established in 1999, PRS has strong foundations within the recruitment sector, working across Facilities Management, Engineering, Technical Services, Data Centres, Construction, Property, and the wider Built Environment.
The Opportunity
This is a highly proactive business development role focused on generating new opportunities while also developing and expanding relationships with PRS's existing clients.
You will be responsible for identifying potential clients, making introductions, understanding their recruitment requirements, and converting opportunities into long-term recruitment relationships.
You'll be expected to pick up the phone, start conversations, build relationships, and create opportunities.
We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of winning new business and is equally comfortable developing an existing relationship into something significantly bigger.
What You'll Be Doing
- Proactively identify and contact new prospective clients.
- Generate new business opportunities through targeted telesales and outbound activity.
- Research companies, decision-makers, and recruitment requirements.
- Make high-volume, intelligent outbound calls and develop meaningful conversations.
- Arrange meetings and opportunities for the wider recruitment team.
- Develop new accounts from initial contact through to established client relationships.
- Build and expand existing PRS client relationships.
- Identify additional recruitment requirements and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Follow up leads, conversations, and opportunities consistently.
- Maintain accurate records of activity, opportunities, and client information.
- Work closely with recruitment consultants to understand market requirements and deliver solutions.
- Develop a strong understanding of PRS's specialist recruitment sectors.
- Use LinkedIn, databases, CRM systems, email, and telephone campaigns to generate opportunities.
- Build your own network of contacts and develop long-term commercial relationships.
- Contribute ideas to improve business development activity and lead-generation strategies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You don't need to know everything about recruitment on day one.
We can teach you recruitment.
What we can't teach is attitude, ambition, resilience, and the desire to win.
If you've got those qualities, PRS can give you the platform to build a successful career.
