Telesales Business Development Executive / Greater Manchester - M3 1AA / salary £25-30,000
Purpose of the Role
Our Energy Control System is a proven concept. We are continuing to enhance and develop our offering by providing new and enhanced technology that will allow our customers to become more energy efficient and accelerate the journey towards reaching their Net Zero ambitions - this has never been more important given key societal changes.
To support both the companies strategic agenda and our customers' Net Zero journey, we are building out our Sales Development Team to drive our lead generation activities across our chosen markets and sectors.

Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify new customers that fit our ideal customer profile through various channels such as LinkedIn, online directories and networking platforms.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align strategies with overall business goals.
- Make calls in adherence to KPI's agreed.
- Monitor trends and opportunities and identify target audiences to drive proactive outreach.
- Implement effective lead generation strategies to achieve sales and marketing objectives.
- Book appointments and hand new business opportunities to our external sales team.
- Strict adherence to key performance indicators.
- Assess lead quality through targeted discovery questioning and objection handling.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, contacts and customer interactions in Hubspot.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to continuously improve lead generation activities.

Person specification
- Sales experience aligned with sales strategies.
- Identifying target markets, industries and key-decision makers.
- Achieving clearly defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Excellent communication skills for effective outreach and relationship building.
- Prior experience working in relevant sectors.
- Ability to position technical solutions as strategic business advantages, aligning with customer ESG objectives.
- Proven lead generation experience aligned with sales strategies.
- Ability to translate technical solutions for customers.
- Numeracy and ability to analyse and interpret data.
- Understanding of energy management, sustainability and cost-saving initiatives.
