Please read before applying: This is a part time, office based Business Development role focused on outbound B2B calling, generating qualified leads and booking appointments. It is not a closing sales role. We are looking for someone with previous professional telesales or business development experience who is comfortable opening doors for longer term, higher value project sales.
Telesales Executive
Location: Hatfield, office based
Department: Business Development
Reports to: General Manager
Hours: Part time, minimum 15 hours per week
Pay: £18 per hour, plus commission for meetings booked and enquiries generated
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced B2B Telesales Executive to join our Business Development team. This is an outbound telephone based role focused on opening doors with prospective commercial clients, generating qualified enquiries and securing appointments for our sales team. Our projects are typically longer term, higher value refurbishment opportunities, so we are looking for someone who has previously worked in a professional telesales, business development or outbound sales environment. This is not a closing sales role. Your responsibility is to identify opportunities, engage the right decision makers, generate interest and arrange conversations or appointments. The sales team will then manage the opportunity through the sales process. The role may be particularly suitable for an experienced sales professional looking for part time hours while continuing to use their telephone sales and business development skills.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
