About the opportunity
Via is partnering with a growing sales-led business to recruit a Telesales Team Leader for its London Victoria office.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has managed and developed teams of outbound telesales or telephone-based sales reps.
The key experience we're looking for is outbound calling. You'll be responsible for coaching sales reps on their calls, improving their approach to prospecting and objection handling, monitoring performance and helping the team consistently achieve revenue and activity targets.
This isn't a purely managerial position. You'll operate as a player-coach, leading from the front while maintaining your own sales activity and demonstrating strong outbound selling techniques.
Candidates from telesales, outbound call centres, contact centres, inside sales and telephone-based business development teams are particularly encouraged to apply.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and manage a team of outbound sales representatives
- Coach reps on cold calling, outbound prospecting and telephone sales
- Listen to calls and provide practical, individual feedback
- Run regular 1:1s, call coaching sessions and performance reviews
- Train reps on opening calls, discovery, objection handling and closing
- Develop junior salespeople into confident outbound sellers
- Monitor call activity, conversion rates, pipeline and revenue
- Set clear KPIs and hold the team accountable for performance
- Identify underperformance and put coaching plans in place
- Recruit, interview and onboard new sales representatives
- Deliver structured sales training for new starters
- Maintain high standards around attendance, activity and productivity
- Manage your own outbound sales pipeline and personal targets
- Demonstrate effective cold-calling techniques to the team
- Work with senior leadership to improve outbound sales processes
- Build relationships with high-value customers and decision-makers

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
