We’re seeking an experienced Temporary Chef de Partie (CDP) to support the kitchen team at a busy cafe-bistro in Paddington, London.

This is a great opportunity for a reliable and skilled chef to work in a professional cafe-bistro environment, prepare high-quality food, and help deliver smooth kitchen service.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Temporary Chef de Partie, your duties will include:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the required standards.
  • Managing your designated kitchen section during food preparation and service.
  • Following recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines accurately.
  • Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods.
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene, cleanliness, and organization at all times.
  • Checking deliveries, rotating stock, and helping to minimize food waste.
  • Following allergen, food safety, and kitchen health and safety procedures.

Chef de Partie Role Expectations

You’ll be expected to work efficiently in a busy cafe-bistro kitchen, maintain high standards across your section, and contribute positively to the overall service. The successful candidate will be adaptable, professional, and confident working as part of a kitchen team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role.
  • Experience working in a cafe, bistro, restaurant, hotel, or commercial kitchen is desirable.
  • Good understanding of food hygiene, food safety, and allergen awareness.
  • Ability to prepare and present food consistently to a high standard.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work well under pressure.
  • Positive communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to support a temporary kitchen assignment in Paddington.
