What You'll Do
As a Marketing Senior Coordinator within BCG’s Financial Institutions Practice Area (FIPA), supporting the Payments & Fintech sector, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering complex sector marketing projects and activities across internal and external channels. You will work in close partnership with the FIPA Marketing Director and team, PA and Sector leadership, and the global and local marketing teams, translating the sector’s marketing priorities into well-run, on-time execution. This includes supporting delivery of industry events, thought leadership and partnerships, tracking and reporting on marketing activities, and coordinating communication activities and platforms. This is a temporary role, and we are looking for a strong project manager who can keep multiple workstreams on schedule and bring structure to ongoing initiatives. Marketing experience is a plus, and you will be supported in learning the marketing specifics.
You will act as the project lead for a portfolio of Payments & Fintech marketing workstreams, supporting in delivering the annual marketing plan. For key industry events, you will partner with our events coordinator to drive planning and delivery of the engagement, as well as post-event follow-up. For publications, you will keep the pipeline on track, follow up with authors on storylines and deadlines, and manage content distribution through mailings and online channels. The role works across regions, with close collaboration with colleagues across the Marketing function and involves regular interaction with MDPs and senior leaders.

Payments & Fintech is one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving areas of financial services, and the pace of the sector makes well-coordinated marketing essential. Marketing for the sector strengthens BCG’s market positioning and accelerates client engagement through thought leadership, flagship industry moments, executive visibility, partnerships, and internal communications.
You’re Good At
- Planning and managing multiple projects and workstreams in parallel, keeping deliverables, timelines, and owners clearly aligned in a fast-moving sector
- Making independent decisions within existing guidelines and escalating risks and issues early to the Marketing Director
- Partnering with Events Coordinator to deliver Payments & Fintech industry events, from timelines, invitee targeting, and logistics to post-event follow-up
- Driving the publication pipeline forward by following up with authors and stakeholders, and preparing first drafts of internal communications
- Managing content distribution through mailings and online channels, and supporting LinkedIn / activation for sector and PA leaders
- Maintaining trackers, dashboards, and status reports, and budget updates for the Marketing Director
- Engaging confidently with senior stakeholders, including MDPs and sector leadership, across regions
- Summarizing progress and impact of marketing activities for the leadership team and the wider practice
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree, 4-6+ years relevant experience in project management, coordination, or operations, ideally in a professional services or other corporate environment
- Marketing or events experience is a plus but not required
- Interest in payments, fintech, or financial services is a plus
- Proven project management skills: planning, prioritization, tracking of timelines, budgets, and risks, and follow-through to delivery
- Ability to handle a defined work area, process, or smaller project with minimal guidance
- Confidence and professionalism in working with senior stakeholders, and the ability to collaborate across regions and time zones
- Excellent organizational and execution skills, with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven analytical capabilities and out-of-the-box thinking
- Highly professional, service-oriented, proactive, and flexible attitude
- Ability to perform under pressure and demonstrate presence and maturity even in stressful situations
- Advanced proficiency in MS Suite, plus sound understanding and usage of AI tools (like Claude, Chat GPT, etc.)

Practice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG’s industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently. As a member of this team, you will contribute directly to the success of our business through a number of roles, including content development, process management, marketing, meeting and conference management, and internal/external communications.
