Responsibilities include:

- Assessing placement options against household needs, availability, affordability, safety, and suitability considerations.
- Working with accommodation providers, landlords, hotels, and internal teams to coordinate bookings, move-ins, and changes of placement.
- Maintaining accurate placement records, monitoring availability, and supporting effective use of temporary accommodation stock.
- Responding promptly to placement issues, including complaints, risks, move requests, and urgent changes in household circumstances.
About You
We are looking for someone who can bring:
- Experience of working in housing, homelessness, temporary accommodation, allocations, customer services, or another fast-paced resident-facing service.
- A good understanding of homelessness services, temporary accommodation, placement processes, and the importance of suitability, affordability, and safeguarding considerations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work constructively with residents, colleagues, accommodation providers, and partner agencies.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, work accurately under pressure, and maintain clear records in line with service procedures.
- An understanding of homelessness duties, equality and diversity, safeguarding, risk management, and the need to make fair, lawful, and transparent placement decisions.
- A practical, resilient, and solution-focused approach, with confidence in making decisions, resolving issues, and working as part of a busy operational service.
- A commitment to supporting vulnerable households, improving resident experience, and ensuring temporary accommodation is allocated fairly and effectively.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
