Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive housing professional with a strong understanding of homelessness, temporary accommodation, tenancy sustainment, and welfare benefits. The successful candidate will be committed to supporting vulnerable households to achieve independent living and secure long-term housing solutions.

As the role involves frequent face-to-face engagement with residents across the borough, candidates must have access to reliable transport and be able to undertake multiple home and accommodation visits each day, often at short notice, responding flexibly to service demands and urgent customer needs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Act as the first point of contact for landlords and tenants experiencing difficulties in sustaining tenancies.
    • Serve as a negotiator and/or mediator between disputing parties to resolve contractual issues.
    • Ensure all landlords and tenants comply with their respective contractual agreements.
    • Stay updated with local and national policies affected by legislation regarding welfare reforms, housing, state benefits, landlord and tenant law, and other relevant legislation and guidance.
    • Liaise with colleagues within the team and the wider Housing Options service to provide a streamlined and seamless service to customers in temporary accommodation to ensure a smooth transition into the private rented sector or social housing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
