Temporary Accommodation Visiting Officers X3
The role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Temporary Accommodation Visiting Officer to help ensure our temporary accommodation is safe, suitable and properly occupied.
This is a field-based role involving scheduled and unannounced visits to properties across London and outside London. You will verify occupancy, identify property and safeguarding concerns, investigate potential tenancy breaches and housing fraud, and ensure residents are complying with their licence or tenancy conditions.
Working independently, you will use your judgement and investigative skills to identify risks, gather evidence and recommend appropriate action.
About You
We are looking for a confident and organised officer who will bring:
- An understanding of housing, homelessness and temporary accommodation.
- Knowledge of HHSRS, safeguarding and common property condition issues.
- The ability to identify potential housing fraud, non-occupation and breaches of licence or tenancy conditions.
- Confidence in carrying out scheduled and unannounced visits independently.
- The ability to assess risks, gather evidence and make sound recommendations.
- Strong communication, organisation and record-keeping skills.
- A commitment to providing a good service and supporting residents to access appropriate services.

This is a mobile role requiring regular travel across London and to out-of-borough temporary accommodation placements.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential requirements for this role, as regular travel is required.
