About Truespeed

Our mission is simple: to enable people and communities in the South West and East Anglia to thrive in an ever-digital world by delivering ultrafast full fibre broadband connectivity and award-winning service.

We’re now looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team on a 3-month temporary contract.

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant looking for your next opportunity? Are you available immediately or on a short notice period? If you’re proactive, organised, and detail-focused, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role

As our Accounts Payable Assistant, you’ll support the Finance team with the day-to-day processing of invoices and payments, while also helping to ensure our customer accounts are accurate and up to date.

This is a hands-on role within a busy team, so you’ll need to be comfortable managing your own workload, working to deadlines, and getting involved across a range of finance activities.

Previous hands-on experience using Sage 200 is essential for this role. You’ll need to be confident using the system and able to hit the ground running.

What you'll be doing

  • Entering invoices and sending them out for approval
  • Preparing and processing payment runs
  • Completing bank reconciliations and producing bank reconciliation reports
  • Entering and managing Purchase Orders
  • Maintaining the finance inbox and responding to queries
  • Managing accrued bank interest
  • Ensuring customer queries received through our ticketing systems are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Applying manual credits to customer accounts
  • Processing and analysing customer cancellations
  • Raising manual invoices through Sage 200
  • Providing monthly details of credits applied to customer accounts
  • Ensuring all customer accounts are in the correct billing state

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
