Our client, a leading international organisation with a strong presence across multiple markets, is seeking an experienced Temporary Credit Controller to join their Manchester finance team on a temporary basis for an initial 3-month contract.

Our client is based in Manchester is a leading international organisation with a strong presence across multiple markets.

Reporting to the Finance Manager and based in Manchester, the Temporary Credit Controller will be responsible for ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts and maintaining an accurate sales ledger.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and collecting outstanding customer balances.
  • Building and maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Proactively contacting customers via telephone and email to secure payment.
  • Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries.
  • Performing account reconciliations and maintaining accurate records.
  • Monitoring credit limits and escalating potential risks.
  • Producing aged debt reports and supporting cash flow management.
  • Allocating customer payments accurately.
  • Working closely with internal departments to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required.

The most suitable Temporary Credit Controller applicant will have:

  • Proven experience within a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role.
  • Strong track record of reducing aged debt and improving collections.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload within a fast-paced environment.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
