Temporary Finance Assistant
Rural Sevenoaks, Kent (Driver Essential)
£16.00 per hour
Temporary Assignment lasting 8-9 weeks but could extend beyond this
Weekly Pay
Free On-Site Parking
8:45 - 16:45 Monday - Friday
Office Based
We are recruiting for a Temporary Finance Assistant to join a busy and supportive organisation based in a rural location near Sevenoaks. Due to the location, a driver with access to their own vehicle is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional with strong Xero knowledge who is looking for an immediate start in a varied, hands-on role.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing invoices, purchase orders and payment runs
- Invoicing local authorities
- Managing credit control, including monitoring payments and chasing outstanding invoices
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with procedures and statutory requirements
- Supporting monthly account reconciliations and financial reporting
- Responding to finance-related queries from suppliers, staff and stakeholders
- Assisting with budget preparation and forecasting
- Processing staff expenses and card transactions
- Supporting cash handling procedures
- Assisting with internal and external audit preparation
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, policies and procedures
- Handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately
About You
- Previous experience in a finance administration or finance assistant role
- Strong working knowledge of Xero is essential
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Experience of credit control and reconciliations would be advantageous
- Professional and reliable with a proactive approach to work
