Temporary HR Advisor (Interim 2-3 Month Contract)

📍 Baildon / Shipley, Bradford
💷 £16.00 - £20.00 per hour | Day Rate Between £116- £148
🕛 Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday 8:30-5:00pm - Early finish on a Friday and Hybrid working on offer!

About the Role

Office Angels are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in the Baildon/Shipley area of Bradford for an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on an interim basis for 2-3 months.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and knowledgeable HR professional to provide hands-on support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Working closely with managers and the wider HR team, you will play a key role in delivering HR strategy, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and supporting managers with a wide range of employee relations matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the business to ensure all people-related activities are conducted in line with employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on a range of HR matters including:
    • Disciplinary procedures
    • Grievances
    • Performance management
    • Absence management
    • Flexible working requests
    • Maternity and paternity leave
  • Work with recruitment partners to support hiring activities, ensuring recruitment and selection processes follow best practice.
  • Manage contract transitions for agency personnel.
  • Support line managers through employee relations processes, ensuring HR representation throughout.
  • Manage the site's absence management procedures, ensuring consistency and accurate record keeping.
  • Maintain employee records, personnel files and produce HR documentation, letters and correspondence.
  • Produce weekly and monthly management information (MI), reports and statistical analysis.
  • Support and contribute towards the company's Health & Safety objectives and initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor role
  • Strong understanding of UK Employment Law and current HR best practice.
  • Experience handling employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances and performance management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong IT, literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience producing HR reports and analysing workforce data.
