About The Role
This temporary part-time Customer Service Supervisor - M role in Salford offers up to £17.43 hourly plus holiday pay. Working 23.5 hours weekly, the pattern covers Tuesday to Friday, 4pm until 8pm, and Saturdays, 8am until 4pm. Lasting three months, the post requires a valid DBS certificate and immediate availability. Duties include guiding a contact centre team, coaching staff, and raising performance standards. The supervisor handles escalated customer and application enquiries, tracks operational targets, and supports improvement projects. What You'll Be Doing
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team to deliver high-quality service
- Acting as an escalation point for complex customer and application queries
- Monitoring performance and supporting the achievement of service and quality targets
- Conducting one-to-ones, appraisals, and regular team meetings
- Handling customer escalations professionally and effectively
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational performance
What We're Looking For
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a customer service or contact centre environment
- Strong knowledge of customer service best practices
- Experience coaching and developing staff to improve performance and quality
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related systems
- A proactive, adaptable, and customer-focused approach with the ability to perform under pressure
