Temporary Receptionist / Operations Assistant
Our fantastic US law firm client is looking for a professional and polished Temporary Receptionist / Operations Assistant to join their London office on an ongoing temporary assignment.
What’s On Offer:
- £15.84 per hour + holiday pay (£35,000 FTE)
- Immediate start, until January 2027
- 08:30-18:00 working hours (Monday-Friday)
- Stunning offices by Liverpool Street / Fenchurch Street
Temporary Receptionist / Operations Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Support office relocations, refurbishments, new joiner setups, furniture and equipment procurement, maintenance requests and general office upkeep
- Coordinate meetings, client events and social functions, including catering, hospitality, conference room setups, AV requirements and room bookings
- Provide professional front-of-house support, greet clients and visitors, manage visitor access and passes and maintain a secure, welcoming reception environment
- Provide timely photocopying, printing, scanning, binding and finishing services, ensuring correct charge codes and adherence to firm standards
- Maintain adequate levels of stationery, branded supplies, refreshments and consumables across the office
- Maintain conference rooms, booking systems and related equipment, coordinating with IT for audio/visual requirements
- Act as a point of contact with building management and service providers, logging and following up on facilities, cleaning, HVAC, plumbing and other maintenance issues
- Maintain attendance records and provide general administrative assistance to the Director of Administration and wider office
- Assist with drafting, proofreading, formatting and document production, ensuring outgoing materials meet firm templates, standards and quality requirements

Temporary Receptionist / Operations Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

- Applicants must be available to start immediately or at very short notice
- Applicants must be able to commit to the full duration of the temporary assignment through January 2027
- Previous experience in a similar Reception or Operations role, ideally within a law firm
- Ability to physically assist with lifting archive boxes and furniture
- Strong computer literacy and Microsoft Office skills
