Are you passionate about workforce planning, building strong partnerships and ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time?

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Temporary Staffing Lead to join our People and Organisational Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting safe staffing, improving workforce efficiency and helping to deliver outstanding patient care across the Trust.

As our Temporary Staffing Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day management of temporary staffing arrangements, working closely with internal stakeholders, external staffing providers and system partners to ensure high-quality, cost-effective staffing solutions are in place.

You will be a trusted advisor, helping to shape and deliver the Trust's temporary staffing strategy, reducing agency spend while maintaining safe staffing levels and excellent service standards. The role offers a rewarding opportunity to influence workforce decisions, drive improvements and build strong relationships across the organisation and wider healthcare system.

As Temporary Staffing Lead, you will have oversight of the Trust's temporary staffing function, ensuring bank and agency workforce requirements are managed effectively and efficiently.

You Will

  • Lead on the implementation of the Trust's temporary staffing strategy and support initiatives to reduce agency expenditure.
  • Act as the key operational contact for external staffing suppliers, managing performance, compliance and service delivery.
  • Build effective relationships with hiring managers, clinical teams, workforce colleagues and Integrated Care Board partners.
  • Monitor temporary staffing activity, workforce performance measures and supplier KPIs, ensuring issues are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Support the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and governance processes relating to temporary staffing.
  • Oversee workforce systems and rostering processes, ensuring data quality, compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Produce and analyse workforce data and dashboards to support decision-making and workforce planning.
