Band 5 Team Leader
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Temporary Staffing Services (TSS) Team at UHCW NHS Trust as a Band 5 Team Leader on a permanent basis.
We are looking for an organised and motivated individual to support the development and implementation of new processes and procedures within the service. You will play a key role in maintaining effective audit and governance systems, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, national requirements and best practice, while contributing to ongoing service improvement.
Working closely with the other Team Leader, Temporary Staffing Services Manager and Deputy Manager, you will support the day-to-day operational delivery of the service. This will involve liaising with Trust-wide colleagues, professional leads and external agencies to ensure efficient and responsive staffing support across the organisation.
Together with the other Team Leader, you will share line management responsibility for the TSS Booking Assistants and Officers, providing day-to-day supervision, support and performance management to ensure high standards of service delivery and staff development.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their leadership, management and operational skills within a fast-paced NHS environment, while making a meaningful contribution to workforce delivery and patient care.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
